Right,I have two 30ft lengths of hdmi cable.
If I get this product joining the two, will it work?

Has anyone here done a long run of hdmi and how have you done it?

I've discovered that you do need some signal booster obviously as simply joining the cables with a female to female joiner does not work :o:):):o

Thanks in advance for your assistance!

lindy stuff is pretty good, but unless your cables are good quality it may not work. personally I'd splash out on one of their 60ft hdmi cables if thats the distance you need, keeps it simpler.

you can use cat 5 ,with a balun on each end.
something like this they will do up to 50M.

it takes the power from the cable, which is a big no no, you want a self powered repeater. The power on the cable is intended to power the EDID in your display so the source can read the display capabilities in power down.

using it to pwoer switches/extenders is a cheap cost saving lazy implementation by any manufacturer, and in the interest of avoiding problems i'd avoid at all costs. either get a tested 60ft cable or buy a powered extender, avoid the one you linked to.
