smoke grenades

one of the lads picked one up a while ago, he stuck a review on our website
I bought this grenade from "SouthEast Airsoft" the other day.It cost just under 20 euro and is a light weight plastic grenade with a reliable fuse. This fuse itself is easy to adjust, requiring only a small screwdriver to do so.Its capable of dispersing both powder and pellets and when left empty makes a fairly loud bang.It fill with normal Green Gas ant the parts are fairly cheap to replace.

While its a fairly decent grenade there are a couple of things I should point out.Firstly is, for a grenade theres alot you have to do to make it ready. Its got some small parts that would be easy to loose.Although once you have it assembled, again, its very light and very affective. It doesnt looke very realistic and feels plasticy. Because of its plastic construction it breaks very easily, infact mine broke after only a few throws(5 tops)Its light weight design though being one of its major good points is also where experinced skirmishers will not like this grenade. I prefer a bit of weight in a grenade, it makes it feel more real and give you the confidance that this thing will do its job.

This isnt a great grenade for beginners and experinced players will find themselves wanting. However it is a cheap and very cheerfull grenade for those looking for a stop-gap measure.

If you ask me, ACM have a metal grenade which is pretty much the exact same as this one but heavier and alot more sturdy. Its an extra 15 euro but wroth it. Get that one istead

Personnlly i use a tornado i picked up cheap in the adverts section, and the same lad picked up one new as his regualr nade. If you ar elooking cheap the thunder b's aren't too bad but you need to check with you site as some don't allow it (too loud)

i's imagine most come under the guidelines for pyro and as such are illegal without a licence. Sorry

There is only one site at the moment that has a licence to operate smoke in the Republic.

Once the other sites get the pyro training course and licence they can sell for use on the site unused pyro must be returned as it is illegal to remove it from a site.

ahh thats a bit weird cause i wouldnt put smoke as a pyro but what do i know im only a noob, a bit of smoke makes things so much more interesting in a skirmish, shame:(. thanks for all the replies guys.

No smoke without fire, pyro being the Latin for fire.

To be honest, most smoke grenades are fairly useless. They screen very little and most people use them completely ineffectually. You're not really missing anything.
They look good, but aren't of any advantage in a game.

the smallest smokes we used in the uk are only really good for signals or marking targets, the duel vents are of a little more use but only found them useful for screening small gaps in cover when there is no wind, the only really useful smoke where the massive marine marine marker smokes we got to use a senny a couple of times :) ( downside being the weight )
