I'll be in Dublin Airport on Thursday, and I was wondering if there was a difference in the prices in duty free compared to the counters in BT/Arnotts? I'd be looking to get a mascara and one of the Viva Glam lipsticks, would they have them? I'll be over in Glasgow so if worst came to worst I could look there, thank you :)

I haven't bought MAC in Dublin Airport in a while, but you do usually save a few euro per product.

Dublin Airport Duty Free is pretty good for cosmetics in general. I recently got a bottle of the new Lancome Teint Miracle foundation for €27 - I think that it has a RRP somewhere around €35-38

MAC is a bit cheaper in the airport alright, but it might be worth checking the sterling prices and seeing if its just as cheap to buy them in the UK anyway.

Just checked up the prices there, £20.50 for the lipstick and nail polish, might chance it and wait until I'm in Glasgow to get the stuff.

Can't remember if there's a MAC counter in Glasgow airport - might be worth emailing them. £9.70 for a lipstick in UK duty free (many is the binge I've had in gatwick)

I'm going to Glasgow this weekend! EEEK! MAC splurge! Very excited now!

When you say Glasgow airport do you mean glasgow international or Prestwick?

Definitely agree - UK airports are much cheaper. i fly between Gatwick and London regularly and have seen a huge difference. i was in Glasgow international last month and they have a MAc counter - but it's years since I've been in Prestwick so i really can't say for sure...

I use the Studio Sculpt and their mineralize pressed powder all the time and prices I've paid are as follows (from memory - forgive me if i'm a bit out!)

    Studio Sculpt
    BT2 - €36
    Dublin Airport - €30
    Selfridges Oxford St - £24
    Gatwick - £20

    Mineralize Powder
    BT2 - €24 - I think
    Dublin Airport - not sure
Selfridges Oxford St - £18.50 or close to that
    Gatwick - £16

So even the UK high st is a better deal than Dublin Airport in some cases, but nomatter where you go it'll be cheaper than BT's!!!
