    Hi All,
Can anyone recommend a good product that will remove scuff marks from leather seats & bring them back to their former glory. I've a grey leather interior. There are also one or two holes in the leather armrest that need to be filled in. Any ideas?

Hi there, a good remedy for cleaning leather that was recommended to me, but as yet untried, is to gently wipe the leather with a damp cloth, consisting of a solution of water and rubbing alcohol, mixed in equal parts. Repeat as necessary. Of course it is advisable to try it out on an inconspicuous area first. regarding the holes, the absolute best solution is of course to re-cover the damaged part. As its an armrest it isnt too large an area at least, and could be covered with a complimentary colour if the original isnt obtainable. There are some very good quality "Trimcell" type materials available from upholstery suppliers.Whereabouts are you based?

    hi Graham

I bought the Gliptone Gentle cleaner (G12 ) and the liquid leather conditioner (G11) and the scuff master colour that matched the colour of my leather.

This colour shade can be got from either the option lists tag that is on most cars or you could ask a friendly garage that deals in your model for info or failing all that you can send Liquidleather a small removed sample for proper identification.

The instructions you get with the scuff master colour dye are very very detailed and managed to get a complete novice like me through the hole process.

The secret is NOT to rush the process and ensure that all steps are followed.

take care and if you need any info please don't hesitate to contact me.

    regards

    brendan

Thanks Brendan for all your help.
I'll order those products this week & give it a try :)
I just need to match the colour of the leather.
The grey I need for an E24 BMW is not listed on their list of colours.
I sent them an email & just awaiting a reply.
    Thanks again

Thoroughly, thoroughly clean your seats before even thinking of applying any products! the amount of people to makes a dog's dinner of this procedure is frightening, take your time & you'll be impressed with the results.

    hi alpina,

I totally agree with what you have stated . clean clean and then clean some more and in fairness the Gliptone procedure is very clear on this point.

    regards
    Brendan
