psn activated 5 times

this is doin my head in, i've had 4 ps3's, i sold 2 and had 1 replaced and bought another a few weeks ago, all of them were activated and 2 lads i swapped a game with aswell

sony are saying theres nothin they can do even though they gave me a referance to get the faulty one exchanged in argos last year

unless i can supply a receipt for one of them they wont let my activate the newest one

does anyone know if i gave them someone else's receipt would it work or any way i can do it

The 5 activations is to allow for replacements and prevent game sharing to a degree, they can deactivate ps3s but it seem they don't want to as they have guess you were game sharing.

You can deactivate a PS3 on the XBM which it would have been good if you did that before selling the 2, but that doesn't help now.

There's nothing you can do about the replaced one unless you have the receipt that they're asking for or next time you try they don't ask.

Try and get the 2 lads to deactivate their PS3s.

sold both on adverts and have pm'd both but they havent bein online in over 6 months and had no posts on boards so i'm not too optimistic

go to the playstation website and do it there in your account under hardware

That registered isn't the same as activated.
