If its your first time to Egypt then Sharm El Shiek would be a good place to start.
Plenty of hotels, bars shops as well as diving and its easy to organize sightseeing.
Downside of going to Sharm is that it is built for tourism and the some reefs have suffered over the years of diving but it is still impressive if you have never been.
Budget or panorama used to do flights from Dublin not sure if they still do.
2 companies i have dived with and found to be good are
    Camel Divers http://www.cameldive.com/about/camel-hotel

    And Emperor Divers http://www.emperordivers.com/sharm_info.php

Falcon Holidays go to Egypt as well. you can book diving through them with Aquarius Red Sea who I have used and are pretty good.

Aquarius use a speedboat to dive several sites (notably Jackson reef) quite early. that way you can be back on shore before all the day boats turn up and the place turns into a rugby scrum.
