Has anyone got the fitness assessment done in the gym? What does it involve?

Do they show you how to use the machines?

They first ask you what you want to achieve, for example muscle toning, cardio or muscle building, and write you a fitness program based on your answer. They then basically show you how to use some of the machines and go through various exercises and techniques for the equipment etc. That's basically what mine involved last year anyways.

Think it costs 12 euro and you have to make an appointment.

It's a good service. Informal and quite relaxed. Mine was spread over two sessions which had a day or two's rest in between them, and you only pay for the first one. Well worth it.

How long will the assessment take? I only want to tone up ,build a little muscle on my arms & shoulders....

I take it I will need to bring a change of clothes, towel shower gel etc

Where can i leave my stuff if I don't have a locker, my assessment is wednesday.
