    and....?

    and....?

You seem disappointed. The thread title said "Frozen Grey M5"; inside it had pictures and links to a thread about a modified M5 in frozen grey. I don't know what else you were expecting.

I saw a link to this elsewhere, had a look, thought it looked pretty cool, and posted it here where others would also see it. There's not a lot more to it.

Class car but I'd change the alloys.
Remove the limiter in one of these bad boys and it will do 204mph!!!

As you look at the bumper, what's the elongated knockout under the headlamp for? Lane assist?

    Next to the parking sensor.

Jaysus some people are very picky - I for one like looking at pictures of nice, or different cars. I would imagine an awful lot of others do given the popularity of the HWIST thread.

Well would ya look at that, it's been painted grey. You'd never see that elsewhere!

All I could find was this black one

If you had of put the 2nd paragraph above in the OP it would have make more sense. I actually though you started a new thread by mistake instead of putting pics in the HWIST thread

Would it though in reality I wonder. Remember watching a program (forget the name) where they were they were test driving Aston Martins, Ferraris, Lamborghini and the like. They were driving them on a level smooth track. At best they could only get about 165mph to 170mph at a push and these were machines with quoted top speeds of up to 200mph and above. Although there seemed to be more in it seemingly the nose of the car would get very light and practically lift of the ground if they were pushed much more. They concluded that the manufactureres quoted top speeds were somewhat aspirational.

They will manage the top speeds quoted on a motorway or a straight track(not a banked one) no problem.

I actually thought it was a customised respray or wrap that the owner had applied, and was therefore of more interest than the OEM colours that you mention above. However, on further investigation, it turns out that it is an offered option (at least in the US), as it is with the E92 M3's.

Fair enough. In hindsight, perhaps I should have put it in the HWIST thread - though the pedant in me says it doesn't qualify if I haven't seen it in the flesh.

Well Mr Rolleyes, if you don't like the thread, you could always try not posting in it then. Bumping threads that you find boring is a bit counter-productive.

usually hate matt paint but that does look good! Apart from the minging cheapo wheels.

Some OEMs offer matt paint in the US but not in Europe. Because it doesnt age particularly well. And the European market is much more demanding :)

I saw an Audi coupe recently, this years model, in a flat white and it looked sh!te and I doubt it will wear well here either, it looked like a primer coat tbh, awful looking thing.

Anyone else find it odd that the car is leased?

Is it like Hire Purchase? I've heard of people buying Fiats on HP but this is another level.
When the F10 comes out I will have 1 year left on my lease. So will my brothers Individual BrilliantWhite which has every mod I have. So there will be two individual m5's with one year on the lease at a price you just will not understand. My lease payments are very surpising, in a good way. I am hoping two m5board members will pick them up from us assuming I decide to get into the F10 M5.

Leasing isn't that odd in the States at all. It's not like HP because you don't own the car at any stage.

I'm not a fan of E60s, but that looks incredible.

Yeah, leasing is very common in the US, but many leases give you an opportunity to buy out the car at the end of the lease.

Thats a lot more Satin than matte. Thanks OP for posting, never seen that colour before, I love greys and its the perfect balance of greyness and flatness.
