    Hey guys,

I've been summoned as a witness to an incident that happened about a year ago, nothing to do with me directly, I was just house-sharing with a person who was directly involved with it.

I'm curious to know what to expect? should I go wearing a suit?

I've never been to the courts before so I'm just a bit anxcious. On a final note, I assume the only way of getting out of it is to have a doctors note? or basically on your deathbed? It's this Wednesday.

    Thanks.

It's not so bad being a witness, especially when it's not directly related to you.

Dress nicely, if you have a suit wear it. Just be honest and be relaxed and you'll be fine.

Turn up at court at the correct time, wear something clean & smart and when you're called just get up and tell the truth to the best of your recollection. If you're not sure of something or can't remember just say so.

Don't forget that it's quite possible you may not actually be called to the witness box.

This is true I was called as a witness to an incident that one party cliamed never happened. On seeing I had attended he changed his position and I was released without evening seeing the courtroom. I sat in a room and read the paper for a while.

    Child custody thing very sad.
