Investigating demand for a new soc

Apologies if this is in the wrong place. I thought a new topic would get more views than simply replying to the Clubs/Socs thread.

I want to investigate the demand for a society centring on the appreciation of pro wrestling. Not to sound like a child, but I’ve been watching for 10 years and I still love it for the athleticism, the stories, the drama and all that. WWE doesn’t do much for me anymore but there’s still a lot of enjoyment to be had watching the US independents and what goes on in Japan. I would personally love to find a group to share DVDs, knowledge, opinions, all that good stuff. No, I don’t want to actually wrestle myself, but societies seem to explore all aspects of the subject matter, so if there’s enough demand who knows what we could organize.

Yes, it’s not the most common interest, but having seen socs such as Anime & Manga, Paranormal & other unusual ones, I figure there’s no harm in asking to see if there would be any interest in this one. From what I’ve read you need at least 20 members to gain recognition, and even if I couldn’t find that, it would pretty cool to find just a few people that I could share this interest with. Reply please, and let me know if I’ve come to the right place.

Good idea, I am sure loads will like it. I stopped watching it pretty much after the Benoit thing. That coupled with Sky Sports being cancelled by my folks.
