Thinking of getting one through my Bank of Ireland branch , what charges are associated with it? Can't see much information online

The only direct charges involved in the laser card is the annual government stamp duty of €2.50 for the laser facility and €2.50 for the Atm facility so if you use the card for both Atm withdrawls and laser transactions you will pay €5 a year.
Go into your local branch to pick up a fees and charges and a laser card leaflet for more details.

BOI place charges on every transaction, though this can be waived if you get free banking, or you can pay a fixed quarterly fee so that individual transactions don't get charged. These bank charges apply to everything you do, not just Laser, and apart from the government duty, there are no extra charges on Laser.
