Have literally just come in from w3 d3. Certainly did notice the difference the jump from 90 sec to 3 mins but ran it all and am feeling pretty ok. Just had a look at next weeks and there are 2 stints of 5 mins!!!!!! Is that a hugh jump???????? Has anybody else had a problem with this? Am I just panicing.

Certainly at the minute at the end of the 90secs runs I could have continued running for a bit, but I was deffo waiting for the beeps at the end of the 3 mins.

Dont think about it too much. If you are in a panic about next week, you wont be able to concentrate on this week.

Look at how much you have improved the the last three weeks. Take each run on its own without thinking about next week.

Keep it up and you'll be amazed what you are capable of.

Don't worry about it, it seems daunting when you're thinking about it.
I managed it carrying all of 16 stone, so anyone should be able to if I can!! I just managed the first 20 min run yesterday :)

Attempt each day - if you can't manage it, go back to the previous day you could do and repeat it as many times as you need too - I've had to repeat numerous weeks and the 9 week programme is taking me months, but I don't care, I'm tracking my progress & my mini achievements, not the achievements of anyone else.

Also, one piece of advice you'll find on the C25K thread is to slow your pace right down so you're jogging rather than running to let you get used to the duration, rather than the speed/distance covered.

    Good Luck with it!!

+1 to the previous post. The C25k works in the great majority of cases - this is despite every participant looking at the next week's programme and despairing! You'll surprise yourself but, if not, just repeat a week as The _Morrigan says.

p.s. well done The Morrigan on your first 20 min run, can't wait till I'm at that stage.

    Thanks!!

Just don't get discouraged, we've all had bad days and crappy sessions where we want to give up, but then there is a moment where you have a break through and it is sooooo worth it. The hardest part is getting on the gear and getting out the door or to the gym/treadmill etc.

It's taken me since May/June when I started walking on the treadmill to being able to run for 20 mins last week - if it takes you 9 months to do the programme then so be it.
If you get stuck in a rut or lose your way, throw up a post here - there are plenty who are going through, or have gone through what you're doing now, there are words of support and encouragement and then the odd kick up the backside if you need that too!!

    Good Luck:D

Remember that feeling, You may need to channel it the next time that you think that you cant do the run you are supposed to. If you need to convince yourself, remember that you thought you couldn't do this step and you did it.
