Just wondering about this if anyone would have a definitive answer ...couple of small "C" shaped -for want of a better word-gashes?Cover them up with a sticker eg 'IRL' gonna work!?What about a larger 'crack'?Thanks.

Don't worry about it. So long as there are no sharp edges which are likely to injure a pedestrian then cracks or gashes in bumpers are ok. Bumpers are classed as secondary structural components and defects in these do not weaken the body structure and therefore do not result in a failure (assuming no sharp edges).

See chapter 35 of the NCT Manual.

Gash always results in tears.... didn't know it was an NCT fail though.
