I recently got employment for a temporary role over christmas which I am not due to start until next month but I received a call today asking me could I go for an interview and I declined and said I had already found employment.

They basicaly kind of caught me off guard and im kicking myself because I possibly could have got more hours in the other job. Im just wondering would it be appropriate in ringing them back and asking for an interview? or would I sound a bit stupid after saying no. anyone been in the same position?

If you don't ring them back the answer is definitely "NO", so you have nothing to lose.

    Ring them...

I'd agree, say your circumstances have changed which had forced you to decline. Tell then you appreciated the initial invitation and would be thrilled to get another. Be honest and friendly, I can't see why they'd say no, but let us know!

Cheers for the quick reply guys. I only received the call about a half hour ago would you reccomend ringing them back up now or leaving it for a day or so?

Do it now, make a little joke of it. Tell them they caught you on the hop and just realised you'd love to take the interview if it was still on offer. Wouldn't say you'd have a problem
