TV interference from eircom microwave

My Mam's TV reception recently went really bad, rte1 barely comes in at all when it used to be perfect. At pretty much the same time eircom installed a new microwave dish over the local exchange and enabled the exchange for broadband.

Is it possible for the tv reception to be affected in this way, I know they're both on completely different frequencies? The tv arial line of sight crosses over the microwave line at a 90 degree angle, same height, about 30 meters from the tv aerial and 10 meters from the microwave tower if that makes sense.

Is there anything that can done about this? She's on a pension so if the tv ariel needs moving I'm going to have pay for it. Is eircom in any way responsible for fixing this? What role does comreg play here? Will I get on to rtenl, they've been helpful to me in the past.

    Thanks!
