I've previously worked "for myself" as a DJ at various functions etc, and basically received cash in hand. I've never worked outside of this (given im in college etc). I'd like to go back working at this now again, however given that a few people I know of have been "blitzed" by the revenue I'd like to get my tax affairs in order. I'm sort of lost as to what needs to be done- do I need to only register myself for tax or must I register as a business for tax etc? I cant afford to see an accountant about it.
