Heels slipping out of shoes

    Hey guys,

Got a new pair of shoes today for my grad next week but my heels keep slippin out of the feckin things. I remember using those heels grips you stick to the back of the shoe but I would literally need ten of them to stop it from happening. I even got them a size too small so it wouldn't happen but no go!
Does anyone have any tips to stop the slippage?!?

Bring them back and get a smaller pair?

    Smaller size is too small

if you don't think the heel grips are gonna work Id just bring them back - not worth the uncomfortableness on your big day.

It could be possible that the shoes are too high? If the shoes are too high, you're literally sliding forward in them.

Try a thick insole (latex or something) and the heelgrips. I generally find it works. Helps comfort too and will stop your feet slipping forward.

same happened to me recently, i got the heal grips but then but my foot was still slipping a little, so got those small insoles, i cant remember the name, they are like the gel insoles but different material, worked great for me:o

I've always had this problem. Tried everything: insoles, heel grips, smaller size etc. Nothing worked. Once i had my feet mapped for running shoes and they told me I had very narrow heels - sounds weird but explains the slipping shoes. Only answer I've found is to only buy shoes with a strap or at least a high front.

I use these, stops your feet slipping forward. They do a heel grip version as well, you could use both. Most chemists, larger supermarkets stock them.

I find if your feet get in any way wet/sweaty then they tend to roll under your foot. You can buy leather ones, which are great, they've more of a cushion than a gel insert thing and they have a better adhesive on the back of them too, you can get them in Barratts and they'll last you the length of time you have the shoes.

Only downside is once they're stuck in, you can't remove them so no swapping them around shoes unfortunately

If you are wearing the shoes with bare feet, spray hairspray on the inside heels.

Works a treat but not so much on shoes that don't have as much bend in them (for instance with a platform or heavily patented)

I have 1 pair of shoes which I love so I spray them just before I go out and carry a tiny can of hair spray to top up during the night (the cheaper the hair spray the better as the spray is stickier and thicker)

If you are wearing stockings I don't know what to try except what every body else said.

like trishasaffron, im in the same boat always had problems with heel slippage and was told my ankles are tiny so only wear shoes with at least one strap. this has really helped the problem though has restricted the shoes that i can buy but no more cut ankles or heel grips

i wouldn't risk them tbh! i've had shoes that have done this before and they were unworkable. i tried everything with them. for a long night like your debs you want to make sure you can walk in them, and won't end up limping. even if the 'party feet' cushions help keep them on, i find they usually end up hurting the ball of your foot more than no having them. try a different pair. a cheap pair of heels that fit will make you look better than the most expensive one's that don't.

also, you'll see so many girls limping and walking with strained expressions. you want to be the one who looks like it's effortless and fun...
