Have the girlfriends laptop here and its unbelievably slow! anything i can do to speed it up a bit? I've started deleting all the programs she doesnt use but it doesnt seem to have made a difference really. Thanks

Clean registry and temp files with CCleaner (also can disable startup programs but be careful about which ones you stop)
Run a defrag with Ausologics
