    Hi guys im looking to buy a bike on the bike to work scheme up to the value of 1000euro:Dthe reason for this is ive signed up to do the ironman in galway next year and need advice,what bike should I get that I can use to train on and also use in the race as well.Im based in Dublin so where is the best place to go:confused::confused:Heard good things about the specialized brand anyone know the stockists of these bikes.

    Seriously though there's lots of threads on entry level bikes if you do a search.

    Some examples around the 1k mark: Canyon, Boardman Team etc If you can up your budget a bit alot of posters here highely recommend this

    At that price point best to try find something on sale , try eurocycles they have the best deals around right now, a bike is all about the kit it comes with ie wheels gears etc so most will be of similair quality will almost depend on what you like the look of best

    Wheelworx in Fonthill have a large selection of Road and Tri Bikes, including Felts, Treks, Giant etc, and they know their stuff. Many of the staff and management compete in Tris themselves.
