Problems adding the Xbox extender to windows media centre

    I seem to be unable to add the xbox extender to windows media centre. Everytime i do i get an error that says:

    "cannot set up extender, set up failed becaue extender was unable to communicate with computer"

    Its all set up as follows:

    The xbox is plugged into the router in the sitting room and the pc is connected wirelessly to the router from another room in the house. Im running windows 7 ultimate 64 bit on the pc.

    Ive gone through some of the help sections on the microsoft site but im just generally confused as to what i need to do to get everything comunicating with each other!!

    If anyone can help it would be much appreciated!

    is it upc internet?
    there wireless and wired components are separate so the extender cant communicate properly with the computer.
