Lets say you come across one of the first zombies. No one knows of the outbreak but there are witnesses watching this crazed man chase and attempt to bite people.

Do you kill him and face the fact that you may be brought in for murder and jailed when the outbreak occurs (pretty much guaranteeing your death), or do you walk away and let him bite whomever and letting who knows how many get infected.

    STOP WASTING TIME!

If it's got to the time where crazed individuals are running around, snappin at people I would kill him. There's no way the Gardai could arrest you or the courts could process you so quickly. Within a day of the killing the Gardai will be too busy helping people to worry about the "murder". Problem is how you can kill him without getting bitten, or how you are certain that he's a zombie, not just some escaped mental patient.

In the meantime you could be locked up in a Garda holding cell. Apart from losing a day or three's preparation or escape time, a Garda station will be a centre of panic where people will congregate for safety.

Where there are crowds, there will be infected. I say just walk away unless you are personally attacked.

Well this is one of the early zombies, not many are around and this is the first real exposure. How long before people really start believing the undead are walking the streets? And how long before the police/government acknowledges it?

Ok where are you? Dublin or a major City?

Ok there's a crazed Zombie running around attempting to bite people and you want to go and kill it?

Explain 1st how you would intend on killing the Z?

As far as I can tell you wont be very well prepared to do the deed and run the real risk of geting infected yourself in the process. therefore I would suggest you do nothing except for the following:
1: Note the date and time
2: GTF out of there fast
3: Stay quiet as you leg it as it wont be long before there is more than one looney running around biting people - outbreak and soon everyone will be running screaming ZOMBIE
4: Get to the DART fast if you dont have a car and get out of the city.
5: Put in place your Z day action plan and take it from there.

Rule #16 "Dont be a hero"

you see a zombie in the initial stages of the outbreak you run, you prepare and don't look back!

I wouldn't kill a single zombie to protect the well being of this stupid government and country, at the cost of me being thrown in prison for no reason. as bad as that sounds I love my country, but you would just be seen as a crazy murderer
