screen gone wonky on Creative Zen Touch

    Hello

I got a Creative Zen touch as a present about two months ago.

It's my first touch screen device, so I was being really careful with it, or so I thought.

Anyway, turned it on yesterday, and the screen is mostly white, you can kind of see the icons etc. behind the white. But it also looks like what I would expect a smashed screen to look like, as though it's been cracked, but on the inside if you get me...

There is not a scratch on the thing on the outside, the screen is perfect in that respect as far as I can see. I don't know what happened to it, one day it was fine and the next it was like this.

It still plays fine, and I can touch some of the icons on the screen, and it works.

It would still be under warranty I think, and I registered the device with Creative when I received it. If I bring it back to the shop it was bought in, do you think they will repair it? I'm afraid they will tell me I sat on it or something (I didn't) and they won't repair it for me. Like I said there's not a scratch on it, and it definitley didn't get wet or anything.

Would anyone have any idea what could have happened to it?

What do you think my chances are of having it repaired?

    Thanks a million!

Other than accidental damage the only other realistic cause could be that the internal battery expanded and broke the screen.
