It was 99€ in the store yesterday but its listed in their price update catalog as 59€. I showed them the price in the catalog and they fixed the price

Just some more details since it doesnt say much in the listing

comes with remote
has av out, no av out cable with it
has sd/sdhc card slot and usb
does not play mp3, divx, xvid seems to work if file extension changed
low resolution screen
runs off ac adapter but only charges battery when off

Thanks for that, where did you get the additional details? Not playing divx means its no good to me, i have one reserved in Ilac centre dublin till saturday if anyone wants the code.

These for the car and hotel rooms are a goodsend when you have kids. However for me it would need to playback divx/xvid off USB. Well worth paying the extra.

Decent enough price if you have loads of DVDs and you trust the kids to change the DVD themselves without wrecking the player.


EDIT: No mention of car kit with this. I wouldnt bother!

Justed checked there and it does play .AVI file off the USB, but I had to rename the file to .MPG



manual says nothing about playing divx,xvid

AVI is just a container so the encoding could be anything. Was the file you renamed an mpeg2 file or do you know if its divx or xvid?

will try a few more files to see what supported


edit: seems to do the common xvid videos, with mp3 or ac3 audio, just as long as the extension is mpg, won't do h264 which I wouldn't really expect

2 videos which vlc describes as "mpeg4 dx50" don't work
wmv doesnt work
any xvid I tried, 10 of them did work

maybe somebody else can try some other divx files see how they get on
