Can you import video on to the iPad using the optional USB connector?

    Hi folks,

Can't seem to find this anywhere but does anyone know if you can pull videos off an external powered HDD (since the iPad will not have enough juice to power most HDDs anyway) that are already in a supported format (i.e you can sync them over using iTunes) straight into the Videos app using the USB connector from the camera kit? Thanks in advance.

The only thing I've had work is to pull videos and photos you took off of an iPhone onto the iPad.

I haven't tried what you're proposing but I doubt it would work. :(

Yeah I'm very much leaning towards the fact that it doesn't work but I was wondering if anyone tried it... There's a hugely expensive HDD thingy (can't remember the name of it now) that can connect to the iPad and transfer content to it so I was wondering if it's possible to build my own version instead...
