Name too long for a flight ticket.

My friend's baby has a double barrel first name. And now it seems the name is too long to book a ticket. She has rang their head office, and went to an office in person and still no way to buy a ticket for someone with a long first name.

She really wants to use this certain airline (Malev) as it is by far the cheapest to get here.

Has anyone had this issue before? I have my first and middle name on my passport, and to someone who doesn't know it could look like my whole name, and I never include my middle name on tickets and never had a problem. HEr worry is because there is a hypen between the names it's clear it's all the first name.

Any ideas?

I had this issue with Aer Arran. THeir desk told me to book it anyway online and then call the desk to have the name ammended and explain that there isnt enough room on the site.

Thanks for that. I'll look into it. Hope they don't charge for a name change now!
