RTE news redesign

    following the trend of spreading everything out making the page narrower, waste of space banners and putting less news above the fold

    but wheres the dated archive
    Whether its to check for what was yesterdays news or the news from last Friday, on to do research back into the archive to see what the news was on a specific day,especially as the public's broadcaster this is not something that can be done with keyword filter and limited filtering.

    its good that they've finally moved on from realplayer, but you used to be able to queue and embed clips with rp (it was possible but awkward) don't think you can do that now.

    I find it difficult to use by comparison with the old one. When are Irish website designers gonna get the idea of personalization, btw?

    I dislike it. Its far to cluttered and jammed into one area.

    A lot harder to use, I prefer going elsewhere now for news.

    i have to say my use of the bbc news site has dropped dramatically after their redesign, mostly because its hurts your eyes to look at it because theres too much white space, they chose to ignore all the legimate complaints about that, i fear the same for rte.

    and less news above the fold
