Maybe some of you remember this tv show, it used to be on Sky back in the 90's. It was about a Canada Mountie who goes to Chicago and ends up working alongside an Italian-American Cop, and basically they have adventures, help people, solve crime and muse over women. There is also a beautiful Husky dog. And it had one of the best theme songs for a tee vee show since the Littlest Hobo.

I've recently come across the first 2 Seasons of the show and it's still really good. I think they did more Seasons after the 2nd, but Vecchio (the Cop) wasn't in them :/

I remember that, he was really polite and it got up the noses of those city boys! Classic! And he could run really fast, and there was a hyper intelligent horse if i remember correctly.

I remember the Mountie eating scat off the street, and a crazy story about the partner in later episodes, will have to catch up with this again

Jesus I remember this show vividly however the name Due South didn't ring any bells. Have way too much on my plate at the moment but would definitely have a look at it again sometime. Thanks OP :)

I love the episode when ll the Mounties are on a flight somewhere and break into song.

Loved this show when it was on the telly,
Ray drove a very cool car,'71 Buick Rivera boat-tail:D
Quite surreal in someways too, when he used to visit his dead Father in the cupboard.

One of the best shows ever!!

He went to Chicago to find the killers of his Dad.

Only, he kept on having visions of him, then his Dad would be giving hima hard time about what he wasn't doing right :)

I watched season one recently and can tell you you are in fact correct, he was in one of the episodes(more than just a cameo).

It was a wonderful show. Truly brilliant.

Nielsen played Fraser's dead fathers ex-partner Buck Frobisher and appeared in a few episodes in the first 2 seasons.

I'll admit that I liked the first two seasons better then the third, mainly because they replaced David Marciano (Ray) with a completely different actor!

It appears that the BBC aren't showing the fourth and final series,it's not in the tv guide at all and has been replaced by Diagnosis Murder of all things!!
