    hi all,
we have a Matt black Stanley erin stove and my wife likes to keep it clean to bring up the finish....
she was told by someone to use WD40 but when you put on the fire it smokes like hell so thats a no go.
Would anyone recommend something to use to keep it clean but also to bring up the matt black but that wouldn't smell?
    your ideas are appreciated.

I find silicone spray brilliant, It lubricates and protects. I dont know if its fireproof and i dont know if it will strip the paint should it get under a paint chip

Bit of a bump of a very old thread! ! By any chance is that stuff called Zebraline? I have a matt finish stove and bought this stuff on impulse today so just wanted to check out was OK to use before applying.

    Thanks in advance.

A good clean with baby wipes brings up the stove nicely too.
