Users of Meteor 'Hotspots'..

I've two questions to ask of anyone using a Meteor 'hotspot'... Hopefully someone can help me out!

    1) My laptop's wireless network card is broken and I need to plug in directly to a modem using an ethernet cable to access the internet on it. Can I plug into the hotspot using an ethernet cable or a USB cable in order to access the internet? [There are three laptop's in my apartment so getting three separate mobile broadband sticks instead of the hotspot wouldn't be practical. Also, a DSL broadband connection is out of the question.]

    2) How is the battery on the hotspot recharged? Does it plug directly into a mains like a mobile phone or work off a USB cable plugged into a computer or some other option?

Hope someone can help me out with this. :)

Those modems can be connected via USB, and used like a regular USB modem. It charges through the USB connection, either from the computer or a mains charger.

Using three computers on this single connection is going to be chronic. Expect the worst Internet connection imaginable. Investigate alternatives, like cable, DSL or wireless.

Also if you can only get mobile, the mast has very limited capacity, so three dongles from three different operators is often faster than a single shared dongle on a Router.

Exhaust all non-mobile possibilities first (Clearwire, Ripwave and Imagine WiMax are equivalent to Mobile really without being as usefully mobile).
