I have ripped the U2 at the Rose bowl audio to MP3.

What's the best way to cut it into individual songs without loosing even half a second of audio due to not picking the exact spot where I left of?

I have a program called sound studio, but i'd have to manually select each song, something I don't mind doing, but when i pick one, then go to pick the next, there is no way of taking exactly where i left off that i'm aware of.

    Any help appreciated

Try and throw the audio into Garage Band and spilt it in there?

i use audacity. it will bring up the whole mp3 as a waveform, just select the amount for the first track and cut and paste it into a new file. when you go back to the original file just select the end point of the next track and there'll be no gaps. my brain isnt working today and i cant put into words exactly what im trying to describe! try it out and you'll see wha i mean

    its a free download http://audacity.sourceforge.net/

thanks all. The program I have, Sound Studio, actually has a marker feature in it. I just added marks to the end/start of each song and then select "Split By markers". It exports all the sections as aif's then I used "Switch" to convert them to mp3!!

You can also just cut the tracks and paste into a new file rather than copy and paste, if you start from the beginning of the recording that way you only have to select from the end of each track to the start of the file.
