Just worked for me.

If you stick your reg, credit card number, expiry date and CCV code up here - I'll tax the car for you if you like.

Oh - will also need your PIN number, might as well give me the one for tax and your credit card as I can't remember which I need ;-)

but I don't tax my car to be honest as it's a 2.5 (far too expensive), just wanted to check something.

But on one pc in my house I cannot ever access the motortax website.
No virus or anything like that on the pc (Norton never finds one anyway).
So why would I have this problem???
