    Short version:
Kids knock down a family heirloom in the Kober home in Buffalo NY, it gets put behind a sofa for 27 years.
When the father starts his pension he starts digging into the painting's past.
Turns out it's most probably a "Mike" and worth 100s of millions.

Probably worth going through old paintings and knick-knack.

I read in the Times, the owner is allowing it to be shown to the public.
Fair play to him. Its going as part of an art tour. At present its now being stored more safely in a bank vault.

Reminds me of this time when me and my brother found a priceless antique watch in this garage where we store all this junk. Didn't even know it was that valable, but when we put it in an auction we got 6.2 million for it. We ended up splitting the money between us and our uncle, and went our seperate ways. A few years later, we ran out of money and were forced to move back into our old apartment and reopen our business, Trotter Independant Traders :D

Seriously though it's a crazy story though, having a priceless painting in your own home. Wonder how it was aquired

So the family always had a hunch that it may be a Michaelangelo painting yet they stored it behind a couch for 27 years . Very strange!
