Google Chrome issue

Dont know why but the last 2 days Google Chrome is freezing and unresponsive every so often. Ive scanned for viruses,sptware and malware etc I mentioned this to a friend this evening and he said hes having similar issues. Anyone else having problems? Tempted to go back to Firefox if this continues.
