When to draw the line!!!!

I posted a while back about my overswing etc etc......my pro had told me a few things that I was doing etc.....so in the last few weeks I tried to put them into play on the course.....wrong move. LEAVE it on the practice ground.

Played 10 holes this afternoon and just tried to swing the club and make good contact.....and hoped muscle memory would kick in.

Shot 4 under par gross for those 10 holes.....3 birdies 1 bogey and a HOLE IN ONE on 140yd Par 3. Happy enough for a 10 h/capper :)

NOTE to anyone "fiddling" with their swing ....Comes a stage when you gotta draw the line and just play with what you got. and enjoy it. :)

Doesn't really make sense, you had your best ever 10 holes, but could you repeat it?

Anyway, good for you and nice on the ace!!

Makes perfect sense to ME......LEAVE THE SWING MECHANICS on the practice ground......

Could I repeat it???? Reckon so if the putts drop......have had good few level par / one over front 9s ..............lol ..might never have another hole in one though.

no point getting lessons this time of year imo
key to working with a pga prof is the practice that takes place on the course between lessons
this time of year seriously constrains this requirement
join the local bridge club instead for a few months

I think it was just meant as a brag!

Fair play on the hole in one - that's a cracking achievement.

I'm not a massive believer in the 'lessons, lessons, lessons' philosophy either and i think there is some value in what you're saying.

Nice one on the ace, only ever managed that on the pitch and putt course

I've started taking lessons after banging my head against the wall over the summer months, and i've never hit the ball as well as a result. Went to the range on tuesday night and didn't even scuff one ball from my first basket, delighted.

I think for those of you that have a very good base and are looking to really hone your skills, lessons now might be a no no in the current conditions, but for a duffer like me, its great to get used to the swing now and come out firing on all cylinders when the season starts up again proper, when i can enjoy the fruits of my labour.
