HTC Desire will not update.

    Hi

    Tried to update to Android 2.2 on my desire today and it seems to have messed up the system.

    It had been rooted by the previous owner and i can't seem to get it working again.

    HTC sync does not seem to connect (Windows 7 64Bit) but connecting the phone does seem to be recognised by Windows and i can mount the sd card.

    Any bright ideas where i go from here?

    If he had it rooted then the custom rom probably has the HTC updater disabled.
    Youd have to download a 2.2 rom form xda developers/modaco/etc to update it
