Looking for a good Indian restaurant in Kildare. Preferably nearer the Maynooth, Celbridge area but sure if I have to travel further out I will....

Looking for a sit in restaurant, not really a take away.:D

Delhi Darbar, it's a takeaway (not sure if it's sit down as well). It's amazing so don't just rule it out because of that. It's in Celbridge and you can order of justeat as well.

Delhi Darbar is a nice sit-down restaurant in the Main St. of Celbridge.
    It's above the Village Inn.

Try the chicken Adraki, excellent with a few Tigers to quench the thirst.
Also Kasturi in lucan Village and the one above Brady's in Maynooth.

Personally I find Delhi Darbar the best although it is the handiest for me.

Dehli Darbar for me also. Had a lovely sit-down meal there and their take-away is good too!

New Indian restaurant opening above Cunninghams Bar in Kildare Town soon.
Bar manager seems to be excited about it as the operators have one of the best indian restaurants in wexford.

Don't know when it opening, but I'd say fairly soon.

There's two in Leixlip, a Taste of India and the BumBai.

    I don't like Indian food, so i couldn't comment. Menupages.ie maybe?

Another +1 for the Delhi Darbar in Celbridge.

My sister swears buy the one in Maynooth (mohana?) but I've never tried it due to knowing what I'll get get from the Delhi Darbar will be decent.

Bombay Bistro (I think) is the name, Main Street in Clane. Nice and cosy. Good food and excellent staff in there any time I've eaten in/taken out.

    +1 for Delhi Darbar

I order from justeat.ie and get the food delivered to Maynooth.

It is always lovely and they always throw something extra in like spicy chicken or beer:)

Well I went for the Dehli Darbar in the end. The food was great. I used to get a take away from there years ago but then the standard went way down hill. I was told there recently then they have improved vastly. They really have. Went with the Royale Chicken was very nice, with a side order of Afgahni nan. Can't beat it!icon10.gif
