    Hi All,

I just moved to a new house in the Kilkenny area.

I am having difficulty with my analogue signal. I dont watch too much TV so i just like to have RTE 1 RTE 2 TV3 and TG4.

Can anyone recommend a reputable company who can come to my house and check my aerials and cables and the rest?

If i have to i will purchase a free to air dish But i understand this does not have RTE on it?

Also i heat there is new digital TV coming out at the end of the month will i be able to access this / will it have all 4 irish channels?

Anyway i am having great difficulty finding a company that specialises in analogue aerial reception - guess everyone is on sky these day!!

    Thanks

Most installers these days that do offers on freesat include packages that install an Irish aerial system for you so perhaps thats the way to go.
Last time I saw prices, they were about €250 all in but may be less or more than that depending on the work.
Make sure you are covered aerial wise for digital switch over.
With that in mind, you might want to ask for a combo box which is one that decodes satelite and terrestrial in the one box and may also be a pvr.
Others will advise on that but there is a sticky thread I think on receivers or you can do a forum search on combo boxes.

Daltons in Hebron Ind. estate should be able to help you. Speak to Paul, they're sky installers but do aerials also.

May be wise to wait 'til end of month and DTT 'soft/technical' launch as it seems it's all guesswork 'til it's up and running.
