Possible to buy and extend in to house next door?

    Can anyone tell us if it would be possible for us to buy the (unfinished) house next door and extend combining the two houses? Both houses are detached.

    Shouldn't be a problem but you may or probably do need planning permission as you will be turning two houses into one.

    You can do it but you will require planning permission. I have done an application for similar in the past.
