    Hi there,
I have trouble installing lyx for windows 7 64 bit:

1.I do not know how to install missing packages for MikTex using directory repository

2.When I click save as nothing happens. The file tries to save somewhere but I cannot change where it is saved

Any help on this would be appreciated.I need it for college!
    Thanks!

1.I do not know how to install missing packages for MikTex using directory repository
Start > All Programs > MiKTeX > Maintenance (Admin) > Package Manager (Admin).

Search for whatever package you want and click the + to install.

No idea what you're talking about here?

Thanks for the reply much appreciated!

Ya, sorry maybe should have been clearer. Basically I cannot save a file or tell a file where to save?

So LyX is installed, it's just not working right?

Ya it's a strange one alright! Everything else seems to be working perfectly. A friend told me that I might not have file privileges or must run it as an administrator which I did but no luck still!

I don't use LyX myself so I don't know what the problem is tbh. Sorry.
