Bassist looking for blues/rock guitarist to start originals band

hey, i'm a 23 yr old bassist looking to start writing some original music. i wud intend writing this music with the view to release it in the future. I'm based in clare but would travel as long as you are worth travelling for i.e. ur good on guitar i want the band to be a 3 piece but not necessity. any questions just ask

BTW-John Mayer is a fantastic guitar player but he sounds lacking in the balls dept sometimes, its like SRV got stuck in a lift;)

Where bouts are you based. You have any particular styles or influences. I dont have any proper recordings but i'll try get something recorded at the weekend if possible.

I'm back in college now, I couldn't get any covers group together so if I could make use of the kit at all I'd be a happy man.

I love blues rock, along the lines of Led Zeppelin/Rory Gallagher and I'm a drummer if you need one at any stage!

Hey FunkDrummer, Wel what i was planning on doin was meetin a guitarist and seeing what kind of material we could write between us but we will definitely be needing a drummer. What other bands you into? What college you in? Age?

Only thing is that i don't think the likes of led zeppelin and rory gallagher are what I want to be playing. I'd like somethin that keeps more to the blues side of things

Yeah sure whenever you're ready for a drummer I'll be more than happy to try out with ye. I'm 24 and I'm in LIT at the moment. When you are actively looking for a drummer we can chat again so until then take it easy and good luck with the search.

Hi there ,

Ive been looking to get together to start a band with some people , My current band ive been in 2 years but the other members just aren't committed anymore.

Im only 16 , But I believe im at least half decent . I was on Radio Nova's axe murderer compeition and came 2nd to a 27 year old.

Ive also been on rte 2 for a competition . Got into the top 16 chosen from 250.

hey man, age doesn't bother as long as ur good. wat kinda music wud u be interested in?? where you based? u interested in just doin originals and gorgettin bout covers? u written any original songs before?

I shud ave a video online within the next few days, hopefully tomoro evening at the latest but depends on if i get the time or not.

I prefer to play Rock , Hard rock and blues . Not gonna budge too much on that but ya never know .

Im based in South west dublin , travel is a major issue for me .
I dont mind doing half and half even , and yeah have wrote a few riffs , not lyrics however , or at least havnt tried .

why is everyone based in dublin!!!!!!! haha bein honest i think the distance wud be too great for a band to wrk. i dnt mind doin a bit of travelling but at the end of the day it will strain the people within the band. i'l still be posting up those vids so ya can havee a look neway. cheers
