    ICS Sig 551:

    Externally, a beauty. Pulling the bolt back, and releasing it delivers a sharp click which won't fail to satisfy. It feels rugged, solid and durable. Much more solid than the TM or JG varients.

    The handguard on mine was slightly damaged, but it doesn't effect functionality. Basically where the handguard is held in by the body pin, there should be a bigger piece of plastic to hold it in, but it looks like it snapped off.

    There is some issues with the ambidextrous fire-select switch. At first it will be stiff, but it can also move a little too far, and enable full auto as opposed to semi. It just takes a bit of getting used to. I had the same issue with the JG Sig 552.

    The ICS sig 551 fires cleanly, and accurately. There are some issues with the Hop up, but are usually covered under warranty. It has an impressive ROF, and good solid trigger response using a 9.6v battery.

    I'm not a tech-head, so can't tell you much about the internals.

    There are a few niggly issues, such as the stock does not always lock into place. You have to lightly press the button, just so it locks in. Slight wobble on the handguard, but otherwise, really awesome piece of kit.

    I'd thoroughly recommend it.

    I think that may be an issue with all SIG's, as it is the same with my CA 556 HOLO

    They're pretty decent.
    <end of review>

    actually, I've wanted to pick up one of these for ages. Marcus in Hobby will tell you how often I've gone in and tried them out. But ... it's the usual issue - no mids (or at least difficult to get mids). That rules it out as an option.

    But the externals are great - there's a functioning bolt catch that slaps closed with a nice clank. The one problem is to do with the bolt catch, which can come loose.

    Here's a SIG review (different types - KA vs. G&G vs. ICS) from AATV:

    Aye I know about the bolt breaking - that's why I reserve it for those special times :D

    Mids - the MAG mids are supposed to fit, and I'm just waiting to get my hands on 'em to see. I've a JG sig 552 so if they don't fit, they'll fit that at least :)

    In the vid, he said the ICS's are fully TM compatible and the MAG mags are TM compatible so should be no problems.

    I really wanted a 551, but the bolt falling out is really annoying. I know I could glue it in but them I'm worried if that will cause problems if I need to take it apart to modify the internals.

    Also on the G&Gs, I think the G&G 552 and 553 have the real trades, only the 550 has the G&G trades on it?
