I don't want to go all out and get real expensive presents just something small for thought, but i have no idea what to get. both of them are a lot older then me.. one is 30 and the other i'm not sure but she's in and around the same age as her... any ideas???

heya, it was my boyfriends sisters birthday last week and like youI wasnt sure what to get, in the end I decided on a chunky knit cream hat and scarf, thought it was nice and cosy and went with nearly everything. You could go as expensive or cheap with that as you wanted :)

    What is your budget exactly?
I love Yankee candles, they smell gorgeous and last forever.
The scarf idea is good too, debenhams do really warm gloves from twenty quid up. I got my mam some as part of her last birthday present and she adores 'em.
Tried and tested is fancy bath set. Lush often have good offers and boots should be getting their fancier sets in because of christmas.

This is true. I clicked on this thread with the thought of mentioning Lush. I was in there today (in one of the Dublin stores) and they had a huge variety of gift sets. They have a good selection year-round anyway, I just noticed they had a lot more than usual given the season that's coming up, and I guess it would be similar in stores across the country.

One of the best gifts you can give is a nice hand cream. The Clarins one is about 18 euro and really lovely. I have given it to a number of people as gifts nd it went down a treat. a gift voucher for a blow dry is also welcome for a local salon and again dose not cost the earth. a really nice 2011 pocket diary could also work well. I gave one to a frient the other day for her birthday and she was trilled. It was a really pretty one and cost 15 euro.

If you're not sure on what kind of things they are into stylewise or allergies (toiletries wise) you could always go for a gift voucher to a nice shop? It's not as personal but there's less chance of a bad reaction :)

Do a search for "Blue Moon Bits and Bobs". Firewalled here and can't link properly. Anyway, her small bits of handmade jewlery have a goth/horror vibe to them, just perfect for Halloween and a bit of handmade bling is rather nice to receive. She'll be selling in person at the Beauty Spot in Dakota Bar tomorrow night. Cheap as chips and make a great conversation piece.

    I'm older than Minecraft goats.
