Industrial action/disputes

Just wondering what the legal position is on industrial action by employees.

Am I right in noting that 'work to rule' is classed as industrial action?

I was under the impression that employees in Ireland are legally entitled to industrial action if correctly/legally balloted and advised in advance.

    Am I correct in this?

What if the company in question then presents staff with a piece of paper and asks them to sign it to signal their intent to NOT follow industrial action. This after they have threatened to dismiss staff who follow the industrial action.

Surely your union have consulted a solicitor and can best advise you on the precise situation in your company?
