Who says you don't have a trade or qualification? ;)

Don't think you need a trade or qualification to get on a plane nowadays!

But serious answer, not too sure if it's a requisite for a working visa. Why don't you give Usit a buzz?

Depends on where you want to emigrate to I guess. There's people teaching English out in Korea, Thailand and several other countries with only a leaving cert. If you're heading to the U.S. for instance though, you'll need some qualification to get you anywhere.

It wouldnt be for a couple of years but I have an idea in my head that I would be wasting my time without some type of qualification. Also does age make a difference ?

No qualifications required.......................Just head down to your local truck stop and climb into the back of the container.
Be sneaky...... don't make too much noise in the back of the truck.

Well it depends what type of work your looking for - Younger the better if you just want to work in a bar or a farm in like australia - Any age for teaching english really. Probably younger the better when your more care free with less bagage but you can do things at any age really

And you can live and work legally anywhere in the EU too. That said, I wouldn't get my hopes up for a decent job without some kind of post-secondary qualification or training.

No. These days when you arrive at a foreign airport, you are required at Customs to either produce a 3rd level qualification or prove you are a tradesman by fixing a leaking pipe, building / plastering a wall, making a chair from timber or changing a lightbulb.

There are places out there that get a trade cert for you even when you don't have a trade. Probably cost a shít load though.

Learn another language. I would recommend Portuguese. Why? Well it's the easiest of all the languages spoken in the BRIC countries (Brazil, Russia, India, China). These countries are the emerging powerhouses of the future and are where the jobs and money will be. You can forget the States. The States is finished. I left there in 2000 and never returned. It's headed towards Third World status.
But definitely get a qualification as well.

    Go to school, man!
