Reaction to hazards?

Failed my test for reaction to hazards. Four grade 2s and Two grade 1s. Most of the rest of the sheet is X free. I had a pre-test lesson where this was never mentioned although other faults were so I'm concerned about where I went wrong. The only hazards I can remember were a kid on a bike and a man reversing out of a drive. I spotted them both in good time and slowed down. But I'm obviously doing something very wrong...

Does anyone have any ideas or advice?

Reaction to hazards is a frustraitingly vague section of the test sheet.
A hazard is anything that might cause you to change speed or direction. This is not greatly refined in the testers marking guidelines.
During your test there was hundreds of hazards not just the obvious two.
Basic tips: See a hazard, check mirrors, make a smooth and early reaction.

It is extremely bloody vague isn't it...you could be maneuvring competently but not appropriately checking mirrors, not giving sufficient clearance to parked cars etc, not reacting to traffic correctly, not showing anticipation appropriately, checking mirrors too much, not checking mirrors enough, stopping unnecessarily...and more...

I think the only way to iron it out at the stage you're at (clearly close to passing) is with the help of a good driving instructor who is able to spot the faults and specifically correct you at each one. Good luck with it.
