Online booking is available on http://www.rathdrumrpc.org/

I'll be there, and there's at least 4 other DURC members going. At least two of them are going to the 3P on the Saturday too.

Will definitely shoot the prone. May shoot the 3P too, though I haven't shot any standing or kneeling since the last match. Must do something this week.

Just in from the range - Damn those Eley Sport!
    Must.....use....the....decent.....fodder!!!

Anyways, booked in for the 12:30 Detail on Sunday. No 3P for me, I'm afraid.

See you all on Sunday so. Looks like there's 6 DURCies shooting on Sunday so far!:) Should be a fun day out. I nominate IWM for the Burger-Supply-Run this time!;)

Just booked for 11AM, prone on sunday. Not sure I'll make the 3P, and haven't been training properly anyway. Hopefully get a prone session or two before the match now, if I can squeeze it in. Might spend saturday afternoon doing a bit.

Definitely one of the better and more interesting matches I've been to. Shame more people couldn't have made it. Hopefully we'll have a few more like that over the next while. Came down to a shoot-off for first place. :)

    From memory:

    1) Aisling Miller: 586 + 101.8 + 10.3
    2) Conor McDermottroe: 585 + 102.8 + 9.7
    3) Mike Madigan: 581

Full scores when rrpc's elves wake up. :D

The final took several years off my life! I knew I had to make up one point, but my first shot was a 9.7 and Aisling's first shot was a 10.7, so then I had to make up two points in the remaining shots. Great way of putting the pressure on myself! We must have exchanged places a few times on the way and then we ended up dead even on 687.8. It only took one shot to separate us though, Aisling shot a 10.3 and I put in a 9.7. :( Great experience though and I'd definitely do it again!

    My series in the final: 9.7, 10.7, 10.9, 10.7, 10.1, 9.8, 10.2, 10.7, 10.0, 10.0

Shot like a pillock myself. Started off well with two 98s, then dropped off after I couldn't rebuild the same position to a 572. :o Oh well, next week will get me back in good order.

572 - nothing wrong with that, good base to work on. To be honest I think it takes months to get used to a new stock, metal from wood especially. They react very differently IMO

One of our most valued elves is probably winging his way to London as I type this. We'll miss you Mike, but we won't lose touch.

That was easily the most enthralling final I've ever been privileged to watch. With two 577s, two 578s a 581, 585 and 586 it was always destined to be exciting, but I never expected to have to announce that there was a tie-break for 1st and 2nd!

Having been in enough finals myself, I can only marvel at the nerve displayed by Conor and Aisling throughout each shot and especially for the tie-breaker. I can only hope that both of them get to display that same coolness on a wider stage in the not too distant future.

    Well done all!

Now I'll get back to whipping those elves into action ;)

Should have been much, much better. Starting to show good moments, just need to get them more consistent now. Just stamina and position training and thousands and thousands of rounds now. :)

Interesting, I only caught Aisling at the end. During the final I thought I had pulled ahead at least once. Clearly my ego is better developed than my maths skills! :D
