    Hi,
I´m 35 years old and will soon (like so many here) be out of a job. I´ve been a teacher of English as a Foreign Language since 2003 and from what I´ve gathered, there are plenty of similar jobs available in Australia.

I would seriously love to spend a year working in Australia (i missed out when my friends were going) but obviously can´t get the under 30s working Visa. Does anyone know any other options? For example, is it possible to get work on a tourist visa and then get sponsorship?

    Thanks in advance

It is entirely possible to do that. But you have 3 months to get a job.
Personally I would try to go direct to companies before you go down that route, as agencies usually ask 'What visa do you have' for the first question. If tourist usually they won't bother.

It is a difficult path to go down.
