18K my arse... look at the washer bottle - it is old.. a whole new mini only cost half that. You can get a prof resto for less.

Well it has cost him quite a bit to discover that it is a "matter of taste" A lesson learnt when he tries to recoup his losses :D:D Don't think he will go as mad with the next motor :p

Can you imagine trying to that on the rollers for the brake test at the NCT?

How much is the VRT on a late 80's Mini? (I reckon the UK reg is late 80's)

How do the wheel bearings cope with such an offset wheel?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,598 ✭✭✭chiefwiggum

how long before he pulls the ad???.all he's gonna get is piss takers on to him....
seriously though is it even sellable at any price???

:D The hint is in the title "1987 Austin Mini for sale" ;)

Given that the seller is in Kilkenny and the UK reg and the mention of £18K sterling having been spent on this "creation" there is every chance that it wasn't the current seller who spent the money building this thing.

Looking at the Ad for the mini, I reckon his wheelie-bin collection is a far better use for some plastic and four wheels.
By the way i've heard of close-ratio and straight-cut gearboxes but what is a Close Cut box ???

So 18K spent on shiney bits, and not a dime spent on the engine itself? lol.

I'd rather buy something shiny like this if I had the money to waste:

looks to me like its had money spent on the engine:cool: that sort of work does not come cheap , in fact nothing custom comes cheap if you want bespoke stuff you have to pay , a 1430 mini will not be a slow bit of kit i had something similar 20 years ago and it would leave most things for dead on a twisty road that little lady would be a serious bit of fun
why most here choose to slag off such a vehicle i have no idea , what i would be interested to see is what all those doing the slagging drive themselves ;)

    That mini looks ridiculous

Is it spivs importing and then trying to sell or what?

I'm sh1t sick of looking at donedeal ads (classic or otherwise) only to find a yellow plate on the back.

Clear it yourself, you lazy gits...

That mini is an absolute horror btw.
