I haven't seen any of the necessary "warning" signs accompanying either those markings or the ones on the northbound side near the join up with the M1.

I wasn't keen on the 100 km/h limit as I didn't think it was necessary but you don't actually lose that much time on the M50 due to the stupid driving of those around so 120km/h would get you up to the idiots just as quick!

There werent cameras in operation on the north bound one just before the m1, unless thats changed since friday....!! Sure they have to put up signs to warn you if they do put in stationary cameras.

Lines with no cameras are common on UK motorways, it's to slow drivers down. It is used as a ploy. Very popular on M11. I've noticed it a lot on non motorways in Cambridgeshire and Norfolk too.

    It works too

all these lines do is make people break suddenly when they see them and then speed up again. I almost rear ended some muppet who went from 100KM/H to 70KM/H when he saw the lines. It's these same morons who drop way below the limit when they see a Garda car. They should use average speed zones in the black spot areas around the country. Surely these would be a lot more affective than one off traps where people just slam on the brakes and then speed off again???
