    Same as here.
Except you need a UK address.

This would be against Sky's terms and conditions and so be difficult to achieve. Probably not even suitable for discussion on boards.ie.

Why would you want a UK sub? You would lose access to RTE1/RTE2/TG4 (unless you had an Northern Irish card).

Most people can receive RTÉ and TG4 via terrestrial. Sky in the UK has more channels available such as Channel 4 HD and 5 HD. Also it is a lot cheaper than the rip off they charge for Irish subscriptions.

Maybe he is in UK or moving there.

    I didn't ask. :)

No living in Ireland but for the reasons given by Minstrel 7 why would you not.?
Are there issues with credit cards?
Is it possible to pay an annual sub?

Your best bet is to get a NI address and subscribe with Credit Card. You get best of both worlds..

As long as you've a UK address and you can use and a credit card, you're good to go.

One hurdle would be the Sky box, as Sky obviously woudl go out to install it at the UK address, and the installer can't leave without installing it and authorising the card. If the person who has the UK address doesn't mind, then after it's installed, he sends box and card to you to use. You'll need somebody to install a dish though.

Otherwise, if you already have box and card, then call Sky to sign up for a "second hand" contract (you tell them you already have dish and box setup). You'll need to call the UK number (with skype or blocked CLID). Have it sent to UK address.
